The Links, Incorporated, Angel City (CA)

The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation, established in 1946. The membership consists of nearly 14,000 professional women of color in 283 chapters located in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas. It is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations of extraordinary women who are committed to enriching, sustaining and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other persons of African ancestry.

Services To Youth

The Links, Incorporated focuses on providing a range of innovative, substantive and sustainable Pre-K-16 programming which contributes proven results to key educational or social/community issues.

The Arts

The Links, Incorporated has a strong and rich record of support for the performing and visual arts, especially where it focused on the presentation of artists of color.

National Trends & Services

The Links, Incorporated focuses on eliminating disparities to reduce barriers to services through leadership, education, and service. The mission of this facet is to empower the membership to effectively empower the various communities served.

International Trends & Services

The Links, Incorporated has a mission to expand the global platform for programs designed and developed to service the educational, health and cultural needs of people of African descent throughout the world.

Human & Health Services

The Links, Incorporated established the Health and Human Services facet in response to the chronic health disparities that persist in our communities and result in the decreased life expectancy of African-Americans.

A Message From Our President

Welcome. The Angel City Links Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is very proud of our award-winning Achiever Program, which has served the Los Angeles community, supporting male African American high school seniors prepare for college and achieve their life goals. The focus is to prepare these young men, for the challenges of life, with an emphasis on contributing to society and their community.  They receive assistance with college preparation, advice on entrepreneurial skills, participate in motivational workshops, including STEM, social responsibility and guidance in community involvement.
